This page is short because the honest answer is short: Nomia is built so that we cannot see your financial data. Not "we choose not to look." There is simply nothing for us to look at.
Where your data lives
- On your iPhone. Your accounts, transactions, cards, loans, budgets, receipts, and the app's learned knowledge are stored on your device.
- In your own iCloud (optional). If you turn on iCloud Backup, Nomia stores a copy in your personal, private iCloud database: the one attached to your Apple ID, encrypted by Apple and counted against your iCloud storage. Apple's architecture gives the developer no way to read it.
- Nowhere else. Nomia operates no servers that store your records. We cannot lose, sell, leak, or be compelled to hand over data we never possess.
The AI assistant
When you talk to Nomia's assistant, your message and the context it needs (such as account names and recent activity) are sent to Anthropic, the AI provider, to generate the reply. That is how any AI assistant works. This happens only when you actively use the assistant or attach something for it to read.
- We do not store these conversations on any server of ours.
- Anthropic processes the request under its own privacy terms; API traffic is not used to train their models by default.
- The Quick Parse button does not use AI at all. It runs entirely on your device and works offline.
What we collect about you
Nothing today. No analytics, no trackers, no advertising identifiers, no crash-data brokers. The app talks to Apple (for iCloud and notifications you enable) and to Anthropic (when you use the assistant). That is the complete list.
Nomia has no user accounts, and none are planned. When subscriptions arrive, payment will run through Apple (we never see card details, names, or emails), and our service will recognise your device only as an anonymous identifier, used for nothing except counting AI usage against fair limits. No sign-up, no password, no profile. This page will be updated before any of that ships.
Your controls
- iCloud Backup is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off any time.
- Deleting the app deletes the on-device data; your iCloud backup remains yours, in your iCloud, until you delete it.
- Face ID lock is available in Settings to protect the app on your device.
